Students around Australia will soon be receiving their ATARs, which inevitably leads to a state of confusion — particularly for those who have the option of changing their preferences.
When are 2020 ATARs released?
Most states will allow students to change their preferences between each offer round. The main reasons for students finding themselves navigating the Change of Preference period is if they have received a different score than expected, or if they have changed their mind since submitting their initial preferences.
In recognising the challenges that all Year 12 students face engaging with universities and TAFEs to work out their study options, as well as the complexities of recent changes to higher education pricing, The Good Universities Guide has announced a series of Change of Preference expos across Australia.
This free expo will take place online, giving you the option to connect directly with university and TAFE staff. On the day of the event, there will be the opportunity to attend live webinars or chat directly with institutions via a live chat system.
You’re invited to register your school, or send the registration link directly to your Year 12 cohort so they can be notified of the institutions attending and their webinar schedule. Schools that register will also go into the running to win a set of The Good Careers Guide and The Good Universities Guide.
The online webinars take place from 10am–3pm in your state’s local time on the following dates:
